Room Re-do

I (meaning Camille) got to redecorate my room since, as Mom said, I'll be moving away in a few years so we had better do it now. Scary thought. But, at least my room will match for once.

These are my new curtains. No they are not practical, but since when were curtains made to be practical? I saw them in Cousin Tayhlar's Room and loved them so we got some for me.
Thanks Tayhlar!
This is my very vibrantly colored bed and my new, not so vibrant pictures which I love. I realize there is a lot of pink, but pink and orange are such cheerful colors...
More curtains, music, books, and JUNK.
This is my book corner. The shadow box belonged to my Great-great-grandmother. The Dragon is named Mervyn (don't ask me why I named him that). And there is some of my book collection. I've run out of room on the shelves and Mom said to give some of them away, but I'm holding on to them for as long as I can. (Evil laugh). When I grow up I'm going to have a separate room, just for my books and writing.

May Happenings

Our kids love the sandbox.  Their favorite pastime is to turn on the hose and make a lake.  This keeps them entertained for literally hours!  The neighborhood kids love to come and join the fun (and the mud).  Of course then I have to do a load of very sandy laundry, vacuum and sweep...

"Ahh, do I have to..."

Sweet Bethany

The second grade put on their annual "Wackadoo Zoo" program for the rest of the school and their families.   All the animals had their sounds mixed up.  Carter was a very cute monkey that could only say "hee haw".   Carter took his part seriously and was very concerned that he be completely dressed in exactly the same shade of  brown.   Mom and Carter had to find a compromise but it all ended well.

Ryan's class participated in the fourth grade field day.  They played ball, ran, and jumped all day.  Ryan liked eating lunch outside and buying snacks for 25 cents each from the PTA.  When asked what about field day he liked the best Ryan said, "everything!"  That's a typical Ryan response, he just a happy go lucky kind of kid.
