Performances and Projects

Bethany entered our library's Peeps book report contest.  She had to make a diorama using candy peeps in the display.  She chose to do the story of Jack and the Beanstalk.  Bethany did her diorama all by herself and was so resourceful. (Yea for Mom!)  Bethany loves to make things.  She also enjoys drawing, writing epic stories and sewing clothes for her dolls.

Carter finished up the year with two orchestra concerts.  The last was a combined choir, band and orchestra concert aboard the Heber Valley Railroad.  The students stopped at Soldier Hollow to play for parents and the Soldier Hollow Charter School.  Carter was so excited to finally have Camille there to hear him play.

Carter's "Incredible Edible" for science class. They were studying biomes and classification.

Meet Bob.

Bethany in her Hip Hop dance number.  The girls all wanted to wear their cute jazz costumes instead of jeans and t-shirts.

The third grade at Bethany's school performed the "The Wizard of Oz" in May.  This was no ordinary school production...  They started practicing in January during recesses.  They had costumes, sets and lights.  Bethany loved it all!  She had her lines memorized the first day she got them.  That is so like Bethany, she doesn't like to do anything halfway.  She was the gatekeeper to the city of Oz.  Did I mention this was a musical?  Their art/music teacher composed fun songs just for this production.  Bethany was glad to have her recesses back by the end but a few days later she was already talking about what play they are doing next year.

Camille came!
