Carter and Ryan went with their dad to the Varsity Entrada Camp in Moab, Utah. They lucked out and caught some cool weather instead of the usual high 90's. It was a great opportunity to have exciting challenges while spending time with their dad.
Carter was buried to his waist as part of the "totem pole".
Ryan's favorite part of scout camp was rafting down the Colorado river. He rode in a small raft that was called a "ducky". He loved the rapids and getting wet! After rafting a flash flood washed out the road to camp and everyone had to wait for the tractors to clear the boulders from the road.
Carter's favorite activity was the zip line and rappelling. In this picture, he's rappeling down a 100 ft. wall.
Scott rappelling on the same wall. Scott also enjoyed rock climbing. He and the other leaders had a contest to see how fast they climb a short route. The competition was stiff, but Scott is so tall that he skipped the last hand holds and just leaped for the top, winning!
Group picture after breakfast. Scott is in the back on the left and Carter is on the far right. Ryan was of course still sleeping...
